Journey into the wild spaces of the Annapolis Valley during a 4-hour invitation of self-discovery and intimate relationship with nature. Nourish your mind, body and soul through guided meditations, rich forest bathing activities, and mindfulness practices. Deeply connect to many local beings and experience how humans can best live in harmony with all nature. Wil Brunner, your Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, resides in a beautiful place tied to the past. Rediscover this beautiful and evolving landscape and your unique place in it!

Experience Highlights:

  • Tune into the melody and rhythm of the land. Your experience begins by crossing a threshold into intentional awareness.  
  • Enjoy seated and walking meditations led by your host Wil Brunner. Nature-based meditations encourage you to be still and pay close attention to the wildness. 
  • Dive deep into your awareness of yourself and the landscape with experiential forest-bathing activities and acts of reciprocity. Actions to consider how the natural world provides abundance and reflect on your unique ways of giving back.
  • Utilize forms of expression to capture your magical moments in nature. Nature journaling prompts, sketching and more are available during moments of reflection.
  • Feel at home in the wild with sitting mats and blankets available for you to use. A large, screened tent is available, which can be heated, for shelter from insects, cold temperatures and heavy precipitation.
  • Receive a Closer to Nature kit, crafted by your guide Wil to use during the experience and take home with you, including:
    • An eco-friendly tote bag to carry your personal items,
    • Wil’s Nature Connections Support Guide with forest bathing tips and supportive resources.
    • Locally made and eco-friendly nature journal and pencils.
    • Unbleached tea bags to create your own foraged teas!
  • The experience will conclude by sharing a light meal of local food and freshly brewed forest and garden forest tea.

Time:

Price: $140 per adult (14+) + HST + booking fee, $100 per child (7-14) + HST + booking fee. Children under 7 are free. Includes guided meditation, a Closer to Nature kit, and a light meal of local food and crafted forest tea.

Good to Know:

  • Please note, the meeting point will be confirmed at least 4 days prior to the event (but will be in this general area). Please check your inbox prior to arriving for a confirmed meeting point.
  • Please confirm any food considerations; gluten, dairy, and nut-free options, as well as vegan options, can be easily offered.
  • Because this experience is completely in natural world, indoor space and bathrooms won’t be closely available.
  • Although your experience will be fairly gentle and relaxed, proper outdoor attire is suggested to create a carefree and enjoyable time in nature!
  • You should come with sturdy, water-resistant footwear and a waterproof outer layer if the weather dictates.
  • Long pants and sleeves will offer additional protection from insects, the sun and cool breezes.
  • Since there are moments of stillness through the experience, an extra layer or two and a warm toque or gloves could be helpful in non-summer months.
  • It's encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle which can be replenished during the experience.
  • Bug repellent, ideally with a mild scent, is recommended during the spring months.
  • Scent-free personal products are ideal for a full, natural experience.

Wil Brunner

Your host and guide is Wil Brunner, owner of Soft Pine Wellness. Originally from the Muskoka region of Central Ontario, Wil has found inspiration and support from the natural world since he was child. Throughout the years, Wil has helped to restore fish and forest habitat, educated on the environment to youth and adults, and provided wilderness-based mental health counselling and mentorship. Wil was formally trained as an Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guide in 2021 which brought together his passions of supporting people’s relationships with the natural world, with each other and with themselves. Experiences led by Wil always features gentle and mindful acts, adoration and respect for nature, and a hospitable and joyful atmosphere. Wil loves nothing more than guiding others on their own journey of discovery within the beautiful landscapes and ecology of the Acadian Forest, Bay of Fundy and Annapolis Valley!
